Account & Data Deletion Request
At GalaGala Exames, we respect your right to control your personal data. You can delete your account and associated personal information directly within the mobile application or by submitting a web-based request below.
1How to Delete Your Account In-App (Recommended)
If you have the GalaGala Exames app installed on your Android or iOS device:
- Open the GalaGala Exames app and log into your account.
- Navigate to your Profile tab and tap on Settings (gear icon).
- Scroll down to the Account section.
- Tap on Delete Account.
- Review the data deletion summary and tap Delete My Account to confirm.
2How to Request Account Deletion via Web
If you no longer have access to the app or prefer to request deletion via email:
Send an email to our dedicated support team with your account details:

3Data Retention & Soft-Deletion Policy
Types of Data Deleted
- Display name, username, and bio
- Email address and Google OAuth ID tokens
- Profile picture (avatar image URL)
- Prize payout details (mobile money provider & payout phone number)
- Subscription request history & payment tokens
- Analytics user identifiers & session replay logs
Retained / Anonymized Data
- Public Study Materials: Documents or answer keys uploaded prior to deletion remain in the shared educational library for community benefit, but all personal uploader attribution is permanently removed (marked as Anonymous).
- Aggregated Telemetry: Anonymized usage statistics.
1-Year Soft Deletion Period
Upon requesting account deletion, your account is placed into a soft-deleted status for exactly one (1) calendar year (365 days).
- During this 1-year period, your profile remains completely inactive and invisible to other users.
- If you change your mind within 1 year, you may request account restoration by signing back in or contacting support.
- After 365 days, all personal data is permanently and irreversibly purged from our active database.
